The ECU101 training course - The SMART Method for Teaching Chess was designed by leading chess pedagogues in Europe and is validated by the ECU Advisory Board which is an international academic panel with experts in disciplines ranging from cognitive science and psychology to statistics and pedagogy. The certification was developed following the Declaration of the European Parliament of March 15, 2012 that chess in schools should be promoted for educational purposes.
